An alternative to the iPad, The WePad

Apple states that they have the policy to restrict other company to launch their products with suffix as “pad”. Steve Job even mentioned that Apple own the trademark for this. But to our surprise  a German company, Neofonie GmbH, has launched a new tablet called WePad. WePad has a large 11.6-inch screen and is fitted with a webcam and two USB ports, the two great features which iPad was devoid of. Moreover, WePad runs Intel’s chip on a Linux platform which supports Flash and is compatible with Android too.

Following is the video from AP

WePad will be available in market starting this June in WiFi-only and WiFi+3G types. Costs for WiFi with 16GB storage will be around $600 and WiFi+3G will be around $777. But before that let us see whether Apple intends to file a suit against Neofonie GmbH? Will Apple sue? We would love to hear your opinion.
